Downloaded and installed these now have no anti-aliasing in GPL
It looks the same no matter what I do and the framerates are the same.
I do have Directx 8 installed
Any help would be appreciated

  You have to install the new drivers over you're old drivers as the new
Beta's don't
come with 3dfx tools. Then in 3dfx tools you can enable fsaa.
  Also keep in mind that the Hidden Surface Removal 'HSR' only works with
Quake3
not with GPL unfortunately. But you can enable Guardband clipping. I'm
getting good
results with the new driver myself.

FSAA in D3D is broken in the new x3dfx beta drivers. So I switched over to
Glide and got FSAA back, and lost 10 fps compared to the D3D papy
rasterizer.. oh well.
