NR2002/Papyrus Generic Joystick Driver

by Jeffrey Lipac » Tue, 19 Feb 2002 01:28:47

I have an original ECCI steering wheel/pedals, yesterday after
installing NR2002 I was able to configure my wheel/pedals without
problems using Papyrus's generic joystick driver.

This morning after upgrading the drivers for my GEforce 2 MX video
card with the latest Detonator drivers from Nvidia, the generic joystick
driver is non-functional. I can still configure my wheel/pedals using the
DirectX driver but as always that driver is not as precise as Papyrus's
driver always has been for my wheel/pedal combo.

Anyone have any ideas on this matter?

Use the Thrustmaster Formula T1/T2 with or without adapter depending
which ECCI version you have. Also you might want to take a wire and
attach it the Allen Bolt for one of the pedals(on the bottom of the case)
and
the other end to a nut on your computer case to ground the unit. This will
make
it far more stable in your config. setup.
Hope this helps, works great for me.

same here... re-install GPL to a fresh directory (not overwriting your
current instalation) and the generic input driver will be back in
all Papy sims.
