Joystick Problem in Papyrus Nascar Racing

Help.  I have Papyrus Nascar Racing and I can not use it with either of my
joysticks.  If I do, the main menu goes crazy and continues to scroll up or
down constantly.  I have tried running the game in DOS mode and Win95.  I
have tried Win95 calibration and many other ideas that would bore you.  The
joysticks I have tried are:  Quickshot 2-axis with 2-button and the
Microsoft Gamepad (very nice!).

Please Help,

Chris Clayton

In most patch levels, you can press 'J' to get the joystick control of
menus turned off.
From there, go calibrate your joystick in the game and then turn menu
control back on if you like it.
If your patch level of NCR1 doesn't support the 'J' key toggle, then
start the game with the joystick in the top left corner (anywhere but
center actually). This should take you directly to control calibration
screen on startup.

Run the game in DOS.

Chris,

Asssuming we're talking Nascar version 1, I think CTRL-J will disable
the joystick from affecting the menu.

Press J to stop the scrolling.

Intersource??? We must be close... anyway about your joystick:

At the main menu you should be able to press the 'J' key on your
keyboard and stop the scrolling. This should let you use your arrow keys
and 'enter' key to get to the controller setup/calibration screens for
your joystick.
