I know with the V2 I will have to run at 800 x 600 but I can deal with that
as long as my frames are there.

Check your Monitor refresh rate. I bet it's 70 Hz. Put it on 75, and
presto, 36fps...

I have used both a single V2 (Creative 12 mb), V2 SLI and V3 3000.
The V3 gave me most consistant, high framerates. I had more "hiccups" with
the V2s.
