You have to use the white adapter that came with your T1. If you didn't
get one call Thrustermaster. They will send you one. Gary

If you are handy with making cables, you can make your own adapter.
Buy a male and female DB15 connector, wire all connections straight
accross, 1 to 1, 2 to 2, etc. EXCEPT cross over pins 6 and 11, i.e. 11
on one goes to 6 on the other and vice-versa.  Put the cable in-line
between the joystick and the computer.  You can actually leave the
cable on for other games, I believe.

I had a heck of a time getting my pedals calibrated right.  The
Formula T1 is kind of irregular as far as the pedals.  The
potentiometer on the wheel goes from 0 to 200K ohms, but the pedals
are like 80K to 500K (asymmetrical).  This confuses the heck out of
the joystick calibrator in NFS.  When I press the brake, the
stickshift goes down and then jumps back up to the top if I press it
farther.  I discovered that it works ok if I just press each pedal
about half way.  It still acts weird though when I floor the brake.  I
am disgusted with their calibration routine.

The game is otherwise pretty entertaining.  I wish somebody
would tell me how to get the goodies like the Las Vegas track :-)
Has anybody had any luck getting throught to EA's web page,
http://www.ea.com?

I was using my T1 with the NFS demo on the PC Gamer CDROM and didn't
notice any of these problems.  Are you sure you disabled the
auto-shifting (which would downshift when you brake!).

The problem I find is that the steering is non-linear and the wheel
response really sucks!  Nascar, Indycar and F1 Grand Prix all have an
option to use a linear steering, and it makes a BIG difference!!  Since
I'm only using the demo, it may be an option in the final product.  Can
anyone comment?

I used to love Test Drive III, and NFS is even better!  I really hope
things can be worked out with NFS to work properly with the wheel.

Have you tried using the little white adapter plug that comes with the
T1. I had the same problem with Hi-Octane and I used that and it fixed
the problem.
