Problems - Thrustmaster GP1 - Need for Speed SE

Can anyone help ?

I have just purchased a Thrustmaster GP1 which is a superb wheel. All
my games (GP2 ,N2, ICR2) etc work fine BUT I have just purchased the
Need for Speed Special Edition and I cannot get the
acceleration/braking to work.

The GP1 came with a sheet detailing how to calibrate for certain games
and this did include NFS. I can move the gearbox through all the gears
using the levers on the calibration screen but when I come to drive
the levers do nothing. I am using the Converter that was supplied with
the GP1.

Has anyone had more success than me with this game ? If so please let
me know.

Many Thanks

Mark:
I bought one of the original Thrustmaster T1's and with it came a small
convertor that you placed on your joystick port.  You then connect your
joystick to
this convertor.  This is required to play Need for Speed properly.

Here is the instructions in my GP1 Kit for Need for Speed.

Need for Speed calibration (requires the supplied converter)

1)    The supplied converter MUST be installed.
2)    From Main Screen go to GAME OPTIONS
3)    Go to CONTROL SETUP
4)    Click on STEERING until Joystick apprears on the right
5)    Do the same for ACCELERATION and SHIFTING
6)    Calibrate the controls.  Note: DO NOT use the shift buttons on the
Grand Prix 1 when you are asked to move the shifter through the gears.
Instead move the steering wheel, and gas and brake levers to guide the
onscreen shifter through the gears.

Hope this Helps.  Have fun.
