Thrustmaster T2 and Need for Speed - How ??

by Jo » Mon, 19 Feb 1996 04:00:00

Hi. I have a Thrustmaster T2 (tremendous product, BTW!), but can't
figure out how to get the pedals to work in Need For Speed (PC
version). I have the wheel plugged into the pedal, plugged into a
single gameport (Soundblaster 16). How do I configure NFS to work with
the pedals (the steering wheel works)?

says...
Just use the (supplied) adapter between the cable end and the computer port.

This is required since NFS doesn't know about two joysticks which is how the
T2 is set up.

Thanks, tried it and it works great. I'm really impressed with NFS - a
very enjoyable game!

Hi Joe,

Cannot speak for the T2 but with my T1 there was a little white
adapter that converts the two joystick T1 into one joystick where the
wheel is x axis and the pedals y axix.   Worked first time but I have
had some trouble when the game loses the plot after a big crash.   The
mouse buttons also stop working so I think it is the game and not the
T1.

So look for the white adapter or ask Thrustmaster where it is.

Craig.
