According to the readme file, there are known issues with the nVidia
cards, Sound Blaster live and Audigy sound cards. What cards does
Papyrus recommend? The Radeon video card and Turtle Beach sound card?

Well, hopefully if there are known issues with those mentioned cards, they
will be addressed in a patch, after all they are some of the most popular
cards for gamers.
I didn't have any problem with the demo, with the exception of 3d sound
really quieting everything down . I heard the backfires much better in 3d
sound in the demo, but everything else sounded way too quiet.

Ouch! Did I hear Kaemmer left Papy? This sounds (no pun intended)
real bad. Anyone know the History of FPS Football series? Sierra fixed
that right up with the 12 month upgrade system! Sounds like maybe the
suits are in and the enthusiasts are out :((((((( Reminds me of GP3 not
working with V2s when 90% of computers had V2s. Bye!

Known issues with Nvidia Cards, and late model Creative Soundcards. So....
that means the vast majority of store and or major dealer computers (such as
Dell and Gateway) may have problems with this game. I am shocked that they
would release a product that may have problems on such a potentially huge
part of the computer owning public. I may sound naive, but this goes beyond
a "normal" early release patch. This sounds really bad.

I read that too.  But I've got no "issues" at all with my nVidia.

Same here, GF3 on a Via mobo (ABit KT7A RAID, 1.2 Ghz AMD, 512 PC133 RAM)
with a SB Audigy gamer. No probs as of yet.

I agree, but it's kinda worrysome (sorry if it's spelled wrong, I'm a
frenchie) that popular cards are listed as a potential source of
problem. I think 90% of people have Sound Blaster cards in their pc.

Interesting that the most Popular vid and sound cards have Issues, to me
that suggests it was done on purpose to get us to change/upgrade to another
card.....Or they have they;re head up thier ASSES to not work that out
before they sold it.......

We are talking about Sierra here. They release a game wether it is ready for
prime time or not. Actually, that applies to just about every publisher in
the industry. I bought a game recently called Patrician2  and when I found
out it doesn't need a patch I was in shock for days. It just boggles my mind
though because I'm sure they lose potential future customers every time they
release a game with bad bugs. Imagine a person who does not use the internet
much and buys a game with bad bugs, they won't be buying your next game
guaranteed.
