GPL and SBLive problems

by A.D. Egge » Sun, 28 Feb 1999 04:00:00

Today I installed SBLive into my Gateway PII-450Mhz. I changed my
Thrustmaster steering wheel and connected it to the SBlive card. I can
correctly calibrate it and the testing in the calibrate utily works
fine, but then when I go into GPL the steering wheel is completely off
to the right and cannot do anything with the wheel apart from steering a
little to the left. Throttle doesn't work either. The only thing that
works is changing the gears.

Any suggestions anybody????

You have to calibrate it again in GPL...with either the Direct Input
(Windows standard) or Generic (Papyrus) drivers.

GPL and SBLive problems

Check your amount of installed AND activated joystick drivers. After
installing the - BTW meanwhile superb SBLive! - I had got similar
problems. I solved them by checking the registry with 'dxdiag.exe',
where I found 2 (!) active msjstick.drv's !!

After deleting one manually in the registry with 'regedit.exe'
everything was fine.

BACKUP YOUR REGISTRY BEFORE EDITING IT !
