GPL + SBLive: Do you use "environments" ?

by Simo » Wed, 10 Feb 1999 04:00:00

Hi,

I enjoy playing (or is that sim'ing ?) GPL, so to increase performance I
upgraded my trusty SB16 to the new PCI SBLive Value card.
Now, my question to the people who have the same soundcard and use GPL: What
kind of environment do you use for GPL - one of the existing, a new one or
none at all ?
Let me hear your opinions...

If you have created your own environment for GPL - could you please post the
figures here - or email me your setup please ?

Regards,

Simon

hi simon i also have the sblive value and i use the environment: game 3d -
(preset racing). and on the mixer control pannel i turn the rears up
(slider at about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way up) only use this if you have 4
speakers. anyone that has created their own environment, i would like it
too.

I use my own  5% reverb (preset racing is too reverby)

I messed about for a while, but I use headphones most of the time and I couldn't find
one that sounded good. I did notice a big improvement in my wheel jitter though, so
that was more than worth the money.
