GPL and SBLive bulk not any better

Hi!
Can't seem to get any better sound in GPL after changing from
a SB PCI64.
Anyone who knows the best settings for GPL?

Regards,
Hans

First, connect 4 speakers.
In enviromental settings you can change the sound to your own taste. I
prefer the '3d game- race game' setting for a full sound.

Hi, Andre!

I've just bought the SBLive card and I bought the "bulk" version (cheapest).
I can't seem to find the setting you refer to ('3d game- race game'). The
only software I got is the experience part and I can't find anything about
3D game...
I also looked through the settings in the control panel but no luck there
either.

Hi,

On the system tray is an icon of the sblive. Click on it with left
mouse button and choose 'environmental audio'.
Then you click on a list to select from hundreds of preset audios.

There is new software for the live! on the www.sblive.com site, I
highly recommend to download it. But be warned, it's a big download
(can't remember the site but about 50 meg I believe)

Good luck,
Andre

Hi, just wanted to say that I never got any icon in the systemtray even just
after installation, so it must be a crippled software bundle I have got with
my card.

I'll try to get a hold of the software though and thanx again, Andre.

Creative should have installed a folder (Program files/Creative/Sblive) and
there you should find as one of your options audioHQ.exe

That's the place you need to be.

Hmm, I found the problem. It was a human one too :-)
It seemed like I only had installed the drivers for the card, but then I
found the REAL programs and installed them too.
WOW what a difference in sound!. Fantastic stuff for the GPL experience. The
only problem I now have discovered is that when my computer have been into a
standby mode the joystick is not detected anymore??? It happend everytime so
I have to reboot to get it detected again. It's abit annoying if I don't
check that it's connected before entering GPL... Have made a backup copy of
the config so it's easier to restore the calibration if I forget.

Thanx for the help!

Cya,

Hans-Otto
