F1 2001 FF vs F1 2002 FF

I went back to F1 2001 to see how the FF felt - I had not driven it since I
bought Momo, when I also purchased  F1 2002. I am a bit surprised, I feel
the Ff is better in 2001. The gyroscopic effect seems real - although i
doubt that F1 power steering allows for that. But what really gets me is the
feel and sense of undesteer that I can't recreate in 2002.

I wonder why neither games model the effect of two wheels hitting the grass,
or the sway of having a loose roolbar. All of this may because of my
settings. Dunno :-(

By the way, what sim out there makes the best use of FF wheels?

F1 2001 FF vs F1 2002 FF

GPL had a useful FF effect, I always thought.  I could feel the limits
closer in that game than any other.  Alas, I built a new (better, faster)
PC, and can find the box, manual, etc., but not the CD for GPL, which is a
bummer.  Anywho, I'm currently playing F12002 and NR2002, and think that
NR's FF implementation is decent.  I miss my 1967 Ferrari though.
Incidentally, F12002 seems to want traction control set to high and ABS set
to high before it starts to feel like the FF is a useful sensory input.
