: One of the bigger problems with racing online with the F1 2k2 mods is
: the near constant flood of F1 drivers trying to join a mod race. It's
: frustrating to try and convince somebody that "HEY! You have chosen the
: wrong session, LEAVE!" I think the problem has several facets...
: First, the hardest to control, are the immature guys who deliberately
: join a mod session just so they can be 15 to 20 seconds faster than
: everyone els...
: The next group are those who just didn't pay enough attention to the
: race header...GTR what?
: the thired group are the non-net-savy user who only has F1 2k2 itself
: and probably doesn't even know there are mods for the sim.
: We need someway to EDUCATE the latter two types of users so that they
: will learn to recoginize the difference between all the various mods and
: the original F1 sim.
: I think websites that cater to the F1 crowd could be the most
: beneficial in teaching the F1 drivers just what all those letters mean.
: (GTR-F, M3, CART, Alfa etc etc.)
: I was wondering if somebody could make a few web pages that show the
: various mods and which ones that should be avoided. These pages could be
: swapped to as many F1 2k2 sites as possible. Hopefull if Johnny Racer
sees
: the tutorial enough times, he'll figure out that F1 cars don't belong with
: the mods.
: The biggest drawback to this is first, crafting the pages, and second,
: getting ahold of the Italians and Germans that have F1 websites so that
: they can also post the problem. The more people we reach, the fewer F1
: cars would be needless stuff into the online Mod sessions.

I was almost wetting myself - driving the Alfa mod at the Nurburgring - this
guy joins in an Alfa that does 17,000 rpm and 180 mph ( hmmm ) - was SUCH a
spanner he was 20s slower than me :D Couldnt get round the track in one go.
