F1 2001 GT mod quick race probs

I just yesterday bought and loaded f1 2001 and today installed the FIA
GT mod to it. Great fun, but having major problems with the Quick Race
options. Specifically, in GT mod (all works fine in regular F1):

- only two car/driver combinations on the grid: me and one other, but
the one other is repeated 23 times!

- when the Quick Race opens (with the starting grid routine), I can see
way down at the end of the grid cars bouncing all over the place and
into the air -- maybe because it's 23 of one car trying to occupy the
same slot?

- when the race starts, my car sits there while the 22 clones crash all
around me.

- when I finally get going, force feedback is atrocious (it works fine
in F1 2001 original and in the Test Day, Grand Prix and Championship
modes in F1 2001 with FIA GT mod)

Any ideas? If something has to not work, I'd prefer it be the Quick
Race, but I wonder what's going on.

From my other post:

Just thought I'd make a short list of things you need to know if you install
the GT mod. http://www.madfactory.racesim.net/f1/

On the 8th, new Porsches were made available which now work correctly.

Set the grid to random so quick mode race will work.

Until they finalize the physics, set the brake balance more to the front to
reduce the rear from coming around under braking .

Det damage multiplier at 30% to 40%.

For multiplay at Relay, set the modified vehicles option to "allowed".

Oh....thanks, David. I wasn't reading F1 2001 posts, 'cuz I didn't have
it, so I missed yours. Other than the Quick Race  prob, I'm sure
enjoying both the original F1 2001 and the GT mod. My wife is less
enthused....
