ICR2 & DMA

ICR2 & DMA

I've recently bought a Screamin'3D card, and I am all joy and happiness.
One snag, though, is that I can't get INDYFAST to work (INDYFAST uses
DMA instead of FIFO). I have a Cyrix 133 (P166+) and I have heard (read)
something about some of the revisions not supporting DMA, because some
of the Pentium instruction-set wasn't implemented. Has anyone any kind
of information on this? Like what revisions DO support DMA and what rev.
DON'T.

I have a fairly recent MB (430 VX) which should support DMA.

ICR2 is pretty impressive using INDYSAFE (with frame rates high in the
20's) but I suspect INDYFAST to be a solid increase still. I mean, in
racing sims like this you can't get too high frame rates. :-j

Or was it the other way around? Hmm...

For Indyfast I had to change to a Pentium and I have to shutdown from
Windows 95 to MS-DOS, but there is a Turbo mode with Indyfast which gives
me frame rates in 70s to 80s. IMHO a wonderous experience (but an accident
can cause all sorts of strange happenings).
