ICR2 & CART & ...

Hi all,

because there will be a Finn racing next season in CART (JJ Lehto),
I cannot avoid being interested also in CART (I guess I'm quite
F1 pro, and, ... well, still I'm ..., but there is now also another
interest :-)

I happened to buy the old ICR (1) some years ago, and even that seems
to be quite fun to play/drive, but today I also ordered the CART
(by (?)) (the ICR2 with a new name, anyhow?).

Already the ICR1 was quite well done ... even with the old fashioned
graphics the feeling and exitement of driving was great.

And soon I'll get the CART (ICR2). I guess there are pros and cons to
that, and to Microsoft's new alternative; which one really is better?

Without 3D-card I guess that CART (ICR?) is a good choice?

Any other good hints for info about CART (the real one) and CART (the
simulated one) ?

CPR is from Microsoft ... a definite turn off!!!!!!

www.cart.com is a great site with lots of info.   That is where I
first learned of Lehto's signing, Tracy moving to Team Green with
Ribeiro, The Houston race in 1998, FedEx becoming the major sponsor
etc etc.

Hey when will Finland get its own CART race??    We have our own race
but no Australian driver as yet ... maybe next year.

Cheers!!

CART by papyrus is icr2, and a couple of years old.  CART Precision Racing is
by MS and is brand new, up to date etc. Works as well as any MS software by all
accounts.

It was great, and I think icr2 is better.

Yes, I would have thought so.  I have a rendition card which makes icr2 better,
but other 3dfx cards won't affect it.

I haven't tried CART PR and probably won't after reading about it here.  I'm
playing F1RS for now.

ICR2 haas to be one of the most supported games on the web (well behind all the
id games of course).

Try www.theuspits.com and go from there.

The best place for CART news is http://www.speedcenter.com  Much quicker than
CART's page, and IMO better overall.

For CART the game, there Championship Sim Cars
(http://www.geocities.com/~wdulaney), which is by far the best site for ICR2
and CART Racing.

This isn't Sim related, but when Mike Andretti was floundering in F1
didn't he and JJ Lehto smack each other a few times??  or was that Karl
Wedlinger?   I seem to remember the Black Saubers were always near a MA
