F1GP2 & ICR2 & Cyrix 6x86 & FPU

Hi,

         I'm thinking about buying a new motherboard+processor and I
read some complaints about Cyrix 6x86`s FPU performance (2/3
of Intel's performance... someone wrote). (especially Quake-
players (Quake is _very_ FPU intensive game).
So, does ICR2 or F1GP2 use _intensively_ floating point
        unit (FPU) ?

ps. I don't know anything about Quake or why it uses FPU so much.

IndyCar Racing II does not make significant use of the FPU.
