a slide show......is it me needing an OS rebuild or does it have v.poor ff
implementation?

The FF in CMR2 is indeed nothing special, but it shouldn't slow your game
down like that. Sounds like some kind of driver incompatibility to me...

Well my computer died last night... so i'll find out when I rebuild
it....... 2 years with the same OS ...about 4 different graphic cards and 3
different mobos.....
and god knows how many little patches and stuff to really***up the
registry>>>>

  standard operating procedure for me is to wipe out my c:\ drive about
once a year and re-install windows.  I have 'most' of my important programs
on
another partition and a good set of drivers also...so the wipeout isn't that
hurtful.
But formatting and restarting windows fresh will often lead to improved
system
perfomance.

Yep, but a deltree c:\windows is enough, no need to delete the whole
c:\ drive :)

I think CMR2 likes ATi Radeon cards... I have
PIII933/384MBPC133/Radeon32DDR/LWFF

There is a slight performance hit with FF but not much.

but if you see my start menu you will laugh at the size of it..... I mean
its got its own time zone!!!!
Ill just make sure ive got all my save games...
d/l all the latest drivers And start again.... on a spare Scsi3
drive....that should do it!
