Autoexec.bat, and Config.sys for NASCAR

by Robert Knaube » Thu, 21 Sep 1995 04:00:00

Can anyone help me.  I added my former dos autoexec.bat and config.sys
to this post.  I was wondering if anyone could edit these so they would
give as much mem as possible.  Any help I would be grateful for.
Also I'm running under Win95.

Don't use Window 95, heard NASCAR will not run under it.

Here's my files, they seem to work ok with more than enough for the
selected functions.

Autoexec.bat, and Config.sys for NASCAR

Actually, not true.  NASCAR will run under Windows 95.  I am.  However, I
won't have enough time to look through your files to see what's going on.  One
not however is to be sure you are running it in true MSDOS mode, not an MSDOS
window...

Autoexec.bat, and Config.sys for NASCAR

Nascar runs fine in Win95.  Just create a shortcut for it.  You
can even use ALT-Return to place it in a window so you can use
notepad or other text viewer to look at setups in another
window.  This way you can input them in the garage without
having to copy them onto paper.  It's also handy to be able to
pause a race and switch windows to Netscape or Eudora to check
news and e-mail.  You can't however actually  race while in a
window, it is MUCH too slow.
