Nascar Pro wheel Config

Hi,
I cannot get nascar2 to see my nascar pro wheel. I have configiured it as
combined as the manual states. It will calibrate in nascar 2, but my only
options are for the keyboard. I have installed 2 nascar patches, and this
still did not cure my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Darryl,
I think you had better check your manual again, I have the Nascar Pro
wheel set up in Nascar 2 in seperate mode.  I'm pretty sure that the
manual says seperate, at least mine does.  I have not had any problems
with the wheel in Nascar 2 or Indycar 2.  "Hope this helps"

If you are still having problems we may need a little more information
to help you get things working.

Are you in pure DOS or in a Win95 DOS box?  If the latter I would
suggest using ThrustMaster's ProPanel applet (which I believe should be
on the disc that came with the wheel).  Remove all devices from the
ProPanel and select the wheel as device ID 1.  NASCAR2 will work with
pedals set to combined or seperate.  The option is yours (I suggest
sepearte).  Make sure that the ProPanel reflects how you have the pedals
setup.

When you start the setup in NASCAR2, calibrate your wheel and pedals
before you select anything for controlling options.  If the controllers
are not calibrated within N2, you won't be able to select them.

If the above fails to solve the problem, delete the following files from
your NASCAR2 directory:
calib.val
controls.cfg

Now start N2 up again and calibrate your wheel and pedals.  Then try
selecting controlling options.

If you are a little more scpecific, I think I can help.  What do you mean
by your only options are for the keyboard?  The way the assignment works,
is after calibration, you click on the function you want(steer left, steer
right, shift up, shift down) with the mouse pointer.  It will bring up a
box asking you to (steer left, steer right, shift up, shift down).  You hit
the key or turn the wheel to assign that function to that action.  Ex.  To
assign the left steering wheel button to shift up, you click mouse pointer
on shift up.  It asks you to skift up.  You push the left wheel button.
You have now assigned the left wheel button to shift up.  Let me know if
this is the answer you werelooking for, or if it is something else.
