Poor AI in Nascar Legends

Poor AI in Nascar Legends

Has anyone else seen the poor AI in Nascar legends. I finished a race at
Richmond and every time there was a yellow I ended a lap down because of the
AI confusion in lining up for the restart. Before the green flag came out
the AI cars took off passing the pace car and me. To keep up I stayed behind
the car I was told to stay behind and the black flag was given to me for
passing under yellow. The next yellow I let the computer cars go and they
ended up with half a lap lead and I lost many positions.
There have been many instances at all tracks in my current championship
season where the computer cars smash into the walls and bounce off unharmed
after some suicide move. Compared to N3 the AI is a joke. I looks as if the
game was rushed out the door to be inflicted upon the masses again. This is
usually not the Papy style and I would hate to think they have joined the
ranks of the greedy. Hopefully there will be a patch to fix these concerns.
Sorry for the rant but I feel let down.

You have explained my difficulties at Bowman Gray to a tee.  I ran a 50%
race as was in second when a yellow flag came out with just over twenty laps
to go and the leader and two lapped cars passed the pass car, when I stayed
behind the pace car I was in ninth when the green flag dropped.

I think that running at Bowman Gray is the best oval racing in any Papyrus
sim to date but it's a *** to see all my clean racing go south due to an
AI glitch.  Since Bowman Gray and Darlington are the only two tracks I'm
racing right now I've only seen the problem at B-G.

Same here..............I race with no yellows now. Kinda defeats the "sim"
experience. Too bad I hope they get a patch for this game soon. It is
fantastic other wise.

The problem is with Double-File Restarts. Turn off this feature and it
will no longer happen. Hopefully it is addressed in a future patch.

again---yellows don't seem to be the issue, its the double-file restarts
that is fudging everthing up. Just turn off this feature, and you should
be able to race with yellows with little or no problems.

I'll second that one.  With double file enabled, I've had nothing but
trouble.  Without it, but yellows themselves on, no problems.

The box said "Windows 95 or better", so I installed LINUX!
