N2003 Portland & Silverstone

Hi guys,

Just starting to get slowly back into N2003 having not really found time to
get seriously into N4/2002 and evn N3 really. Back in N2 days i used to get
away with racing the roadies with my mach3 joystick, which i prefered to the
wheel as it allowed much more agressive driving in the relative relaxed
driving model back then.

But anyways, now in N2003 i'm making a determined effort to get up to speed
using my wheel (itself, an aging old but gold T2!) and was enjoying racing
PWF Portland which i haven't had the pleasure of since ICR2.

So, to cut to the chase, i'm not interesting in going into making or getting
better setups, but was just wondering what would be considered good times
using the fast setup found in the garage for this track. I also, turned a
brief lap of S'stone67 just to see what it was like, and it also seemed a
good track to get acquainted with.

Benchmark times for these two using Fast setup are, you would say...

thanks
Jon

You don't mention which mod you were using, or if it were the original Cup
cars.  I don't have any experience on these tracks with the cup cars, but I
have been enjoying the T/A cars.

I just left a practice race at Portland in a T/A league I am in, and the
laps there are 1:10's for a great lap, to low 1:12's for a decent lap.
These were open setups, but in my testing, I had ran laps with several
setups with the fast setup being one of those.  The lap times were within a
half second for all the setups I ran.  There wasn't a setup I tested that I
didn't get into the low 1:11's with, although most of them can probably be
driven faster by someone with a little talent.

Silverstone laps should probably be in the 1:22 - 1:24 range I would guess.
I know there were guys doing 1:21's with the fast setup there, but that was
my first T/A race, and I was still struggling a bit.
