What are the best drivers for a ATI 9700AIW & N2003 ?

Card is a Retail 9700AIW. Using the Cat 4.1's right now & had some very
bizarre graphic break-up in a online N2003 race lastnight. Gauges would
start shimmering/stuttering/break-up and once crossing the Start/Finish line
the whole display dissolved into triangles. Very Weird.

Thanks

I use this card and I think the problem is heat related.  I had that happen
a couple times over the past year and a half.

I use Omega's drivers religiously.  Love em.  Just grabbed the Omega based
on Cat4.2 last night.

How are the 4.2's working ? I have used the Omega Drivers in the past and
found them good. Maybe I will give them a shot. Thanks

Are the Omega drivers in some way better than the ATI? If so how?

They are just Cat 4.2's that have been optimized for looks instead of FPS.

So the emphasis is on graphics not performance?

Hey Mitch,
Maybe you can help me with a problem? I have the Cat 4.2s and have
been using Rage 3d tweak. With the last 2 Catalyst releases I am unable to
adjust Gamma,Brightness, Or contrast on the fly. Reinstalled the Rage tweak
and still problems. Seems to work with Nascar but not BF1942. A long shot
that you will have an answer but no luck finding anything in the forums.

Correct.

Sounds like the ATI Control Panel may have got hosed.  Maybe try to
re-install just the CP.  If that doesnt work then...

Maybe throw one of the driver cleaners at it and then re-install all ATI
components including Driver/CP/WDM for AIW.

Omega includes "driver cleaner" Omega version but Im sure others are
available for download.  Omega's control panel also includes gamma and
brightness adj in both 3d games and 2d desktop setup as universal or
profiles.  Works wonderfully really and I dont have a need for Rage3d.
http://www.omegacorner.com/index_ati.html  If you decide to try these all
you need to uninstall is the ATI control panel before the omega install,
dont worry about the driver.

Thanks Mitch they loaded right up. I have seen them before but this is the
first try. Got the adjustments I need now. Thanks again.
