ATI 9800XT Help-N2003!!

by wean » Mon, 29 Mar 2004 14:00:22

Hello,
My problem is using D3D in N2003. I am getting a horrible flicker on the
screen, so much it is un-drivable, but it runs fine in opengl. i want to
take advantage of the added framerates i get when using d3d with the ati
9800xt card. My hardware is as follows:

AMD 3200- 64bit motherboard
ATI 9800 XT video card
1gig ram
running 1024x768
have updated nascar patch.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

What is your AGP Aperture size?  Try 64MB

Try lowering the number of cars drawn.  From 30 to say 25.

What OS?

Try switching to 1280x960x32. Maybe that helps.
