Help - ATI Radeon 8500 and GPL

Hello,  can someone suggest a videocard setup for my Radeon 8500 (retail),
and win XP with GPL.   I am getting 5 fps.  I have the latest Catalyst
drivers.  I also just installed powerstrip but I didn't play with it too
much.  All I did was set the refresh rate.  Thanks.

Do you have the d3d patch from Papyrus?  The v1.2 patch?  Have you tried
the updated opengl raster that the guys at racesimcentral came up with?
Hopefully somebody will provide a link...or just go to the racesimcentral
forums and search for gpl + opengl.  That should find it.
Most likely you are currently running in software mode.  You should use
either open gl or d3d.

Hello,  thanks for the reply.  I guess I was a litle vague.  I installed the
1.2 patch, D3D patch and the disco fix.  I haven't tried or seen the updated
openGL raster yet.  I will look for it now.  I am using D3D mode also.
Thanks again.
