Anyone have any experience with the new Radeon 8500 running GPL?

None at all.  There are though sound problems with some sound cards
and WinXP.

Yup... XP 1800 and the Radeon 8500.  I had no problems setting it up
whatsoever. With the highest detail and resolution, GPL strains my
computer no more than Solitaire does. I heard about sound issues with
the SB Live! cards, but my Live! Audigy never hiccupped the slightest.
(note - I never used the stock sounds... just the better ones I've found
off the net)
