>Driving the only Lotus, he used his car advantage

"After the fast swoops and bends of Zandvoort, the AS7L moved on to the
stop-start nature of Silverstone. Car selection was crucial here, with some
more than interesting choices :-). With slow right hand corners, faster
left "flicks", Silverstone requires an Asymetrical setup. The main thing
the car needs to do, is stop and go - Accelerate and Brake.
Short gearing and soft rear suspension helps put the power down, while
careful placement of brake bias ensures the achors are used to their best.
Overtaking here is not a problem with plenty of outbraking places. Top
speed isn't very fast, but with up to 5 hard stops and accelerations, a cars
"power to weight" is at a premium, making the Lotus the best choice."

If you guys actually had a true F2 division, using the F2 cars, rather
than a secondary F1 division, falsely called "F2", then you might see
some good close racing, plus you would have a broader range of quality
drivers participating and a also a lot more interested observers....
Cheers,
Ron
Andrew.
