============ Press Release ===================
AUSTRALIAN SUPER7 LEAGUE
Rounds 12 & 13  - Watkins Glen (Int Short)

Rounds 12 and 13 were at the Watkins Glen and competition was fierce.  With
lots of testing leading up to this race, times were fast and close with even
some WR times in certain chassis.

Round 12
-----------
Formula 2
Qualifying was interesting with 1st and 2nd separated by just 0.04 seconds!!
Greg Morgan used his Lotus to his advantage took the pole with a 1:05.18
from Road Rage and S.Griffis.

In the race, Road Rage was able to take the win from Troy Rosenberg.  Ron
Ashenden chased home Troy to the flag and taking 3rd position.

Formula 1
Qualifying for F1 was fierce, with 2nd to 8th separated by just .40
seconds!!!!!  But out by himself was Greg Stewart with a blistering lap of
1:04.74 in the Ferrari.  Of notable inclusion, was Ian Robertson with a
great qualifying effort to land on the front row in his Lotus.

In the race, Greg lead away with James Pickard chasing him hard.  The gap
was never more than 2 -3 seconds and they finished that way.  Vail Riches,
after a surprisingly poor qualifying performance, fought his way on to the
podium with a great drive to 3rd.  Also of note, was the fastest lap by
James Pickard, 1:05.01 in the Coventry, an unofficial World Record.

Round 13
-------------
Formula 2
Qualifying was slower than the round 12.  Troy Rosenberg still beat everyone
to the pole with a lap of 1:05.76 in his Lotus'49.

In the race, Greg Morgan faught his way to the win from Road Rage and Troy
Rosenberg.

Formula 1
Again, qualifying was very close with Greg Stewart pulling out another great
lap exactly the same as the first race!!!  Mick Taylor came out of "left
field" with a 2nd place on the grid, surprising everyone!!  3rd on the grid
was Vail Riches in his Brabham.

The race was very exciting at the start with a battle between Mick Taylor,
Vail Riches and James Pickard.  Vail forced the pace and Mick made a mistake
allowing Vail and James through.  From there Vail and James battled for
about 5 laps until James lost it in the loop allowing Vail some breathing
space.   The finishing order was Greg Stewart making it 4 wins in a row and
placing one hand on the AS7L Championship.  Vail Riches finished 2nd and
James Pickard finshed 3rd in the Coventry.
