"PLAYING IN THE SANDS"
"RoadRage cleans up F2, Lakey wins and Crooke consolodates"
Formula 1
----------
F1 was was mared by a mass disconnection in Round 3, with all but 5 cars
disconnecting. John Crooke took out the race closely followed by Greg
Stewart and Greg Longfield (watch out for that "Crooky" :-). Round 4
was taken out by reigning Australian Champion, Ian Lake taking pole and the
win (but not the fastest lap heheehehe). Afterwards his official race
comment was "I won". 2nd place was taken by Greg Stewart closely followed
again by Jon Crooke (I can see a battle emerging :-)
Formula 2
-----------
F2 was run with RoadRage winning Rounds 3 and 4 taking a clean sweep and
totally annihilating the competition in the process. Well Done Ash. Les
Marton and Tony Clarke finished 2nd and 3rd respectively (Tony was rather
pleased :-) In Round 4, Les Marton finished 2nd again proving his
reliability and consistency (one to watch in the championship) and John
Baldwin finished 3rd.

"One word sums up Zandvoort: HEAT. This is the biggest villan here, with
the car in fast corners loading up the tires a lot. With fast, medium and
slow hairpins, Zandvoort is a real test of the driver with a real rithym
needed to get a clean lap and fast times. This is also necessary to ensure
the tire temps remain at a respectable level. Temps about 250 - 260 degrees
aren't uncommon for the people with num right feet :-)
Hard to pass, "Zandy" also requires patience and timing to move up trough
the field. With only really one good place to pass, this can make for some
interesting battles. Zandy can also be reffered to as 'sandy' with massive
dunes lining the track. Lose it here, and you'll be cleaning out your
radiators with a bucket and spade :-)"
