GPL and blurry D3D?

I have a TNT 1 card and is experiencing blurry and distorted texturemaps in
GPL. Looks like the mipmapping  (or something) is way of. please help me
with suggestions to fix this. The OpenGL was crisp and clear.

thx

Read the readme.txt that comes with the patch and make some of the
suggested changes to your core.ini

Also go to your display properties in control panel and make sure you
have the Direct 3D stuff turned up for best quality.  I had mine
turned down for best performance and had the blurriness you talk
about. Now it is absolutly beautiful.
