F1C and Al shifter in mods ?

by Txl » Sat, 11 Oct 2003 15:51:33

Hello

SUing the excellent GTR 2002 conversion for F1C I'd mlike to know how to
implement the Act Labs shifter in this if it's possible

Could it also be used for the M3 mod ?

Finally could we hope to see the "other" mods ported to F1C ? 1995-1999 and
1978 ?

Thanks

F1C and Al shifter in mods ?

For me the AL Shifter has worked perfectly in F1C and the Mods without any
use of the ALShift Utility.

I have no idea why but when setting up the controller the gears 1 to 7 and
Reverse are in the list,so i moved my shifter just to see if my dreams had
come true and they had!!!

Someone else (like Dave Henrie lol) might tell you that it is a PLR file
change is all thats needed, but i only know i have never changed anything.

So have fun mate

open your plr file using editor,
under [ Controls ] section
change
Gear Select Button Hold="0" to "1" and
set
Options Num Controls="44"
now execute the f1c , goto controller setting option,
and set each gear position like other key setting

218.145.61.75:

Hello

I have the shifter working for the M3 mod (although the mod itself does not
work well, see my other posts) but in GT I don't have the possibility to
select the buttons for 1st gear, 2nd gear and so on, I have modified the
plr file for the GT and found the "gear select button hold" but i couldn't
find the "options num control"...

Thanks for the tips

F1C and Al shifter in mods ?

I'm having a slightly different problem - maybe you can help:

I have the ForceRS wheel, Pro Pedals, and shifter.  Everything works
great if I just use the accel & brake pedals plugged into the back of
the ForceRS wheel, and the shifter plugged into the USB hub.  If I
plug in the clutch pedal, F1C refuses to recognize the ForceRS wheel
for steering input.  Is F1C limited to detecting only two
controllers??  I can live without the clutch pedal, but it sure would
be neat if I didn't have to!

yes, only 2

if you want force RS wheel + usb clutch + usb shifter,
buy the "2-in-1 USB Adapter Box" in actlab's website,
http://www.act-labs.com/scripts/proddetails.asp?pid=255

"This adapter allows your Performance Pedals and GPL Shifter controllers to
be
recognized as one device. Now, you can play many of your favourite games
that only
 recognized 2 controllers such as EA's F1 2001/2002, Nascar Thunder 2003,
Rallisport
 Challenge etc..."

or from,
http://karkrazy.m4driving.sm/racing_gtr2002.html
reference in the middle,
Getting all 3 game devices: Shifter, Pedals and Wheel to work in F1 200x,
Temporary fix to get all 3 devices to work if 1st method doesn't

i don't know if it works well in f1c,
because in f1 2002, it needs alshift util, but in f1c no needs it
make an attempt
