It's looking very promising - I'd say it's already better than Codies 'V8
Race Driver' and EA's 'V8 Challange.' (Not hard mind you)

At the '77 version of Nordschleife - I'm completely blown away. What I've
always wanted to do. Drive a V8 sedan at the Nurburgring with some decent
physics whether right or wrong, it feels really good.

What kinda times are you running there?

I've only done it in the M3c Mod but it felt so much more immersive than
GPL...maybe it's all the extra graphics but I seem to know it a lot more
than I ever did in a GPL car.

And yeah I guess how's the feeling of these cars compare to the M3c mod?

Ive all the previous F1 EA sims ,but no F1 Challenge.

I wouldnt buy it for the F! sim alone as f12000 delivers the goods for
me. But should I buy it for V8 add-on?

how good is it?

Okay now, I've asked dumber questions before, but here's one.

How do I start the V8 Beta? I don't even see an executable after I've
installed the mod. I even went inside the game (F1RC) and couldn't find a
thing.

I must be missing something, as the standard goes.

Lead me around this curve. :)

It is just like another season, so you go to the driver screens and
instead of choosing the 2002 season, or the 1999 season, you will see
another icon up there for the v8's. so you just launch F1c like usual,
then choose the helmet icon to edit your driver and pick the v8 season.
Ralph Hummerich(sp?) excellant 2003 season update, with all the current
paint schemes and tobacco sponsorships works the same way.

Hi Again,
I highly suggest anyone trying out the AussieV8's beta to also grab '77
Norschleife from Xzibit A's X Spec conversion of GTR2k2. Go to
http://www.racesimcentral.net/, click on XSpec and then scroll all the way
down to the bottom and grab that track.. Frame rate is terrible around the
pits but... Wow. No more of that bumpy plain old '67 version.

For anyone who doesnt know.. to make the track(s) work you have to edit the
Nordschleife.GDB file in your C:\....\F1 Challenge
99-02\SeasonData\Circuits\Nordschleife directory using Notepad.
Add "and AussieV8" to the Filter Properties line. Mine looks like this:
Filter Properties = 1995 AND 1999 AND 2000 AND 2001 AND 2002 and 2003RH and
AussieV8

I've been getting all my tracks and mod updates for F12k3C from SPEEDSIMS.

It's in the V8 forum over at racesimcentral.com - It's only an early beta
with 4 cars and no tracks included (you can drive Albert Park though) the
other beta tracks have to be downloaded separately.
