Looks like they (Codemasters) are localising this game... there's one called
DTM Race Driver in the works too. Wonder if and what series they might pick
for the American market.

I'm hoping to see it today, they're apparently demoing it 20 mins
drive from where I live, but I'm also on call so hopefully I'll
have time to check it out.

A friend of mine saw an early rolling demo of the new EA Sports V8 Supercar
game. He said that he couldn't really tell much from watching a TV camera
view, but he said that the track graphics were a bit sparse and that the car
didn't look to be gripping the road very convincingly.

Don't know about this whole "follow a story line and go through the
ranks" type thing. Sounds like Days of Thunder turned into a V8
Supercar game. :(
Well any game based on the V8s has to be worth checking out anyway,
maybe this one will be better than DJ's V8 challenge :P

I probably saw the same demo (if they were demo'ing the product where
they said they would today then they hid is exceptionally well) at
Hardly Normal of all places. Cars seemed to be too narrow and the
handling didn't look all that great, but I'm an eternal optimist.

Well, he works at Hardly Normal, so I'd say it's a good chance that it was
the same demo. I too am an optimist - even something with the quality of
TOCA 2 and Bathurst with V8s would rock my world..
