I can drive any circuit in test day mode only. Whenever I try a championship
or race.......it loads about 1/2 to 3/4 and then CTD. I did exactly as the
install directions said to. I even deleted it and tried again with the same
results. Anyone help me??  Other than the 2003 update I have not added
anything to this game until the M3 mod here.

I have exactly the same problem.

Seems that one (or more) of the cars is causing this, as I can get a race
weekend loaded if I set the number of opponents to 10. Didn't have time to
test any further, I was too busy racing those M3's :)

BTW, disabling both the semiautomatic transmission and the automatic clutch
gave the mod a bit more realism (especially now that you have a starter
motor onboard)... ;)

   I just found the fix on the M3 thread in the EA forums at Racesim.  THe
number 12 ETCC Guest car is the problem.  you can remove it or change the
names of a couple of car files.
 first rename the M3CSeasonData folder to M3CSeason.  Next change the line
in the M3CConfig.ini file that looks for M3SeasonData and correct it to
read M3CSeason.  The first line under the header should look like this:
SEASONDIR=M3CSEASON\
  Now open the vehicle folder for the ETCC Guest team that has the #12 car
in it.  Change one line in the ETCC_12.veh to read as follows:
from the old
GenString=M312gpxa
to the new
GenString=M323gpxa
finally rename two files the etcc_12.veh file, to etcc_23.veh and the
etcc_12Icon.bmp to etcc_23Icon.bmp.

   THere is also a physics update available at racesim, but I haven't tried
that yet.

  Dangit!  I forgot one step.  After making the changes in the last post,
delete your current Bimmer driver and create a new one.

   You have to put the file into each car folder.  if you expand the winzip
window, you will see the path for each file.  HOWEVER...that is setup for
the old seasondata folder name so DON'T use the stored file paths.  Just
unzip two files into the corresponding vehicle folder.
  For example, the two cars #21 and #22 are the team Schnitzer cars so just
unzip the two files with the numbers 21 and 22 in them into the
M3cSeason\vehicles\ETCC Team Schnitzer folder.  The coca cola cars are #51
& 52.  Just tie the car numbers to the team folder.

  Here is the link to the first update.  It's about the 4th or 5th
Important topic at the top.

That seems to be for the F1-2002 version. Here's some info on the upcoming
update for the F1C version of the mod:
