N3 Newbie - Setup Question

N3 Newbie - Setup Question

by J Jone » Sun, 09 Jan 2000 04:00:00

I'm new to N3 and can't for the life of me figure out how to "add new"
setups or "save as new" existing setups.  When I go to the car setup screen,
I'm only able to select a setup from the existing list.  If I select one
from the list, I can't do a "Save As" on it, only a "Save" which overwrites
the existing.  What gives?

I'm trying to come up with a good race setup for C***te ('cause I'm very
loose with the default setups), but can't figure out how to manage setups.

Any help from a N3 "pro" would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, this game kicks butt!

N3 Newbie - Setup Question

Jeff,

I agree that N3 is not very intuitive in regards to changing names, and
making new files.  To create a new setup, click your mouse on the name of
the setup that you are using.  The text (name) will turn yellow.  Now you
can rename it to whatever you want, and save it.  N3 will ask if you want to
overwrite (insert your setup name here), click 'yes'.  If you have altered
any of the default setups and want to get them back to original, you can
copy them from your N3 CD.

Anytime you want to change the text, or name, of almost anything in N3, use
the method mentioned above.  (driver name, setups, IP addresses, etc)
