Jeroen,
First question is are you using a wheel, joystick or keyboard? A wheel is the
best way to go, but I know some awesome joystick racers. Keyboard racers are
generally a menace in the multiplayer games. There is simply not enough control.
The general rule is not never brake hard. When you brake hard, all the cars
weight goes to the front wheels and the car will push (won't turn). At most
tracks, get outta the gas early enough to get the car to the bottom in the
corner. Follow the *** buildup on the track for a starting point at hitting
the groove. Never jerk the wheel..always be smooth on your turns.
The ACE setups seem great in N3. I'm using those with very slight changes for
now with some success. The car turning to the left too much in the corner is
called loose. If using a wheel, make sure wheel is checked in your setup, not
joystick. This made me very loose. Also make sure your frame race is high
enough. ALT-F will display the framerate. If its too low, the car seems to be
loose. Turn off some graphics or upgrade video to help this. I would say you
need to be above 20 most of the time and never go below 10, even in traffic for
it to be playable. Also be very smooth on your turns into the corners.
Hope this helps...just remember...be smooth with gas, brake and wheel...
