In accordance with Winston Cup rules, you can't adjust fuel load.  All
cars must qualify and race on full tanks.  You can only adjust your fuel
load during testing sessions.

Since the real boys have to start each session with a full tank, so do
you.  You can only adjust the fuel level in pre-season testing.

Nothing. The Winston Cup rules (for 1996) state that a car must meet
weight with a full fuel load for all sessions during a race week.
(During off-season testing, a team is free to do whatever it wants I
presume...)

Our simulation reflects this rule.

But it's a shame that you can't adjust the amount put in at a pitstop
during the race :(

I hate finishing with 5 gallons of fuel left in the tank because my "crew
chief" can't be bothered to do the calculations correctly.

Cheers,
Richard

Nothing. That's what the real cars start with.

Sorry thats the way the game was programed by Sierra. The thing I really
don't like is that if you just need to top off to finish it will put in
enough gas for 10 extra laps past the
flag.   one more thing that sierra messed up. I could calculate my gas just
fine I can see putting the limit of starting with 22 gal. but let me do
what I want in the race to get to the front.

This is explained in the manual which you get after actually purchasing
the sim.
