You can count Bobby Labonte among those who have used the sim to prep for a
race.

Given Earnhardt's contempt for Jeff Gordon's video game habit, I wonder
what the Intimidator thinks of his young driver using a video game to
prepare for the race? Given where Parks finished on Saturday, I suspect
that DE might be buying a copy of NASCAR 2 pretty soon. ;)

While watching the post race interviews from Dover after the Grand
National Race, I heard Steve Parks say that since he had not been able to
run at Dover, he used the Nascar2 Simulator to get ready for the race.  He
said he put in about 800 miles on his simulator and had to be pulled off
the thing .  I always wondered if BGN & Cup racers ever played the sim.
Now we know, straight from the mouth of a rising star.

It is and will continue to be, the best simulator on the planet, IMHO.

Once you race online and win, YOU'RE ***ED!!!!!!!!!

No flames please!

I guess that would be the reason that Labonte and Parks are having such
good years:)

I hope DE gets a copy!  Man, would I love to modem race him.  It would
be a local call for me. ;)

I saw the interview also.  My jaw hit the floor and tears welled up in
my eyes! ;)  We've all known what a great sim we have.  It's great to
see it validated like that.

The Winston and BGN drivers have been using the Papyrus sims for a while,
ever since Papyrus had a trailer following the WC events. I had to wait in
line at the AC-Delco 400 to play Nascar 1. When the spring Bristol race
got rained out last year, one of the questions asked to a driver was if he
"Had Bristol on that NASCAR computer game"  And he responded with a nod
and a smile. :)
