been a flight sim nut for awhile now and just by chance I DLed Touring car
championships by codemaster WOW Im hooked! Now Im looking for the best race
sim and have read alot about this F1 from Ubi. After a bit of searching I
was able to find the Demo ( French version ) but after the 26MB download I
cant seem to get it going? I have a 233MMX PII with the STB Velocity AGP
video board. I have also Dled the patch f1rs103d  and f1rs104d ? When I try
to run game I get these prompts-cant find C/windows/ubisoft/ubi.ini  and-
unable to reach f1d3dvsexe ? Can anyone help this game seems to be talked
about a great deal and I sure would like to give it a try. Thanks & Aloha,

I think the patches you mention are only for the full game. And -- I may
be wrong -- but I think the demo is 3dfx only, not D3d.

For what it's worth I spent four days trying to get a setup I could live
with for UbiF1 and failed dismally. I'll try again in a few months (and a
few more patches perhaps), but I actually found the MSCart demo a lot
closer to ICR2/Nascar in terms of handling and "feel" than UBiF1 is to,
say GP2.

Hi Icarus, hehe why aren't you in your jet young man? Yes the patches are
for the full game only as I called Ubi and they informed me that it was a
patch to include D3D. Also they said the English version should be ready to
ship this Fri or Mon. I just bought ICR2 after trying the demo and man Ive
got away to go before I make it around these tracks with any real speed! I
guess I will have to get a Wheel now as driving with my flight stick set up
is proving to be tough. Aloha, Mike
