Thrustmaster T2 - wheel won't fit properly

by mf322.. » Sun, 29 Jun 1997 04:00:00

I have a Thrustmaster Formula T2 from batch 970126

The steering wheel will not fit correctly onto the steering shaft
because the "ledge" within the steering wheel is too big.

The wheel therefore cannot***onto the shaft like it should, and
everytime it's used, the wheel dislodges and spins independently of
the shaft, forcing a pause of the game and a realignment of the wheel
and the shaft.

Can anyone suggest a solution to make the ledge the correct size?

This is annoying because it interrupts gameplay every time!

Please help!

A good solution is using sandpaper (emery type) on the shaft,
the best way to do it is using a long piece of it, then just "roll
it around" like in the old days those who were shoe-shinning
with a cloth on leather shoes, got the point?

Take care, Eric
