Interstate 76 won't work with my Thrustmaster T2 - Help!

Interstate 76 won't work with my Thrustmaster T2. The wheel is
calibrated fine in Win95, and the control settings are correct in I76.
The car just won't go (I can change gears and fire with the wheel
buttons). It recognizes a right turn - I can see the drivers hand when
he turns the wheel, but that's it. Help!

Thanks to all who responded. Apparently Win95 didn't like my game port
(on the sound card). I just picked up a dedicated Thrustmaster ACM
game card and now it works fine!

P.S. Interstate 76 ROCKS with a driving wheel!

Strange, that's the 2nd or 3rd post I've seen where folks had to
switch to a Game card instead of the soundcard's port.  I've got a
SB16 PnP Value, and have had no problem with my T2 (I retired my
gamecard a year+ ago).  Mind if I ask what Soundcard you had the
problems with?

I have an ACM card too, but no instruction book (I take it there is
one). There is the speed adjust lead and a diagnostics diskette, but I
suspect I've been sold a pup. Should there be a  Win95 driver diskette
? I can't get Win95 to recognise my T1 at all. Everyone seems to have
a T2 these days, but I don't think there's much difference in
operation is there ? Thrustmaster's web page seems to have forgotten
it's existance.
Any assistance of this combination would be appreciated.

How about givin us some info on your computer configuration! Do you have a
plug & plat sound card?

Yes I do. The Soundblaster 16. It has its game port disabled in Win95
GUI mode, but I guess the MSDOS mode might still be a problem. The
manual says nothing at all about disabling it, and the readme files
say disable it in bios ????? Thanks Creative Labs -  very helpful !!

OK, so how much is a dedicated game card?  I'm barely scraping enough
for the wheel; can't afford much more!

Can't wait (I'm holding off buying I76 until I get a wheel, and maybe
even until they release a voodoo patch for my Righteous)!

Creative Labs should have a DOS utility to setup your soundcard to
disable the game port.  Check out their web site or do a search for
ICU.EXE at http://www.search.com or via a web search engine.

A Thrustmaster ACM is around $35-$40.

If that's too much, the $12 Electronics Boutique speed-selectable
dual gameport card works fine.  Picked one up for my old 486/33
maybe 4 years ago, and it's just about the only thing I haven't
had to upgrade.
