Going down the straight at the Glen, there was a tire standing in
the middle of the road.  Go to replay, there's Clark off the road, no
LR wheel.  Watch his last lap, the wheel just fell off at 168!  His
control under braking was masterful although he did crash when he
tried to three wheel the turn at 80.  Bet he had a word or two with
Colin about his fragile car design.

The GPL physics model is undeniably the most realistic so far.  But
it's not perfect in that it seems to unrealistically favor a "pitch it
and catch it" driving style.  If Papyrus could just figure out why and
reduce the tendancy it would be awesome.

I thought maybe cuz that's the fastest way to drive a 60's car.
High slip angles and hard tyres -> drifting heaven!

Hey, look at one of Mark Reynolds, or any of the "pro-racers" laps,
looks
pretty darn smooth to me! If you have a pitch/yaw problem, you are going
too fast..:))

Hi

I was reading the race reports on 1967 grand prix and this ALMOST happened to
clark. He finished the last lap with his wheel at a bizarre angle. can't
remeber which race though :-(

the race reports are exciting reading.  I can't remember the address but I
found it on the links page at:

home.c2i.net/thepaddock/

recommended reading for all gpl fans!!!
