> Plus there are comfortably more people here playing GPL than F1RC.

Let's also note that F1RC did very poor sales on the PC platform. Worse then
GP3, much worse.

Show us one person, aside from yourself, who has ever spoken about GPL
that way.

(Sorry for going on, but when a target present itself so obviously....)

So you judge things on their age do you, and not by their quality?  If GPL
is poor simply because it's 3 years old, this must make the Spice Girls a
heck of a lot better than Mozart by your reasonning.

Nice reach.

You're comparing GPL to Mozart? You'd rather have a copy of GPL instead of
the Spice Girls?

Thank you. You made my point.

Appears to be a little more than a handful. Seriously, if that many still
believe GPL to be the best for them, then it must be right?
Understand, I'm not a big GPL racer, actually only race it occasionally. But
there sure is something to be said for it's faithful following.

David, I think you are generally taking things way too seriously lately, but
that was a good retort to a mixed metaphor!!!

Marc.

I keep hearing I'm not serious enough, then, a guy who started a thread the
other day called, "Where the hell is the F1RC patch?...seriously!" tells me
I'm too serious.

I give up. :-)

You were claiming there was something wrong with playing GPL and the only
way you chose to back that statement up was by saying it was three years
old.  Hence you were claiming F1RC is better than GPL just because it's
newer.

I never compared Mozart to GPL, I compared the Spice Girls to Mozart,
because the Spice Girls are newer, yet Mozart is obviously superior.  Hence
your argument is invalid.

....but then you already knew what I meant.  I presume you find pretending
to misunderstand me easier than backing up your previous statement.

Where's the mixed metaphor?  The Spice Girls are newer than Mozart, but
worse.  F1RC is newer than GPL, and worse.  Is that hard to follow?  DGF was
criticising GPL on the basis of being 3 years old, which is clearly no sane
basis for criticising anything.
