going any faster?
I'm sure Tim is probably at LEAST .2 seconds faster than me... :)

Take my driving tips with a grain of salt. In N4/2002 I normally had
my doors blown off at Marty so I suspect I'm as slow as everyone else.
It does seem to me, after doing just a few dozen laps there, that
keeping the tires chirping a bit is fairly essential, moreso than any
other track I can think of. Dunno how that plays out for tire wear
tho.

Well, I was talking about the <fast> setup. I seriously doubt that
*anyone* can get into the 20's with the <fast> setup.
You *had* to make it a challenge, hadn't you? ;-)
Jan.

Well, I've already decided that it's simply best not to push it at
Marty, and let the aliens have their way with me. :)
After 30 laps, my fronts were showing yellow and handling went downhil
quickly. That's with the fast setup on JS's practice server.
My best so far is 21.53 and that goes up as the tars wear.

Note that I locked the brakes and slid in both turns which probably
took a good half second or more off my lap time. Not trying to show
off here, I admittedly suck at Martinsville, but if that ***of a lap
is a 21.1 I'd imagine guys who really know the course are in the 20.5
range.

Decided to try a few laps without downshifting, much easier to be
consistent, altho I still feel like I could do a 20.5 via 3rd gear.
Also, damn you for putting up that challenge. I think I broke my
wrists trying to wrestle that shitty setup around. =)
Jason
I'll be the one at the back, if I get it abooout right I can stay around
21.4-22.0, but what the hey. If I don't do anything stupid and survive,
it'll be great.

i can run 50 laps at marti at around 20.9s for the duration with the FAST
set, but itll do 20.7s and 6s if you push it (itll eat the tyres though...).
bob stanleys q set will do 20.5s at 70 degs clear 0wind.
