21 cautions for 82 laps...

Connections sucked (everyone had pings between 200 and 400)...

The campus network must be saturated.  My systems have responded slow all day,
and pings were higher than normal for my GPL league races... :-(

We had a couple of long runs :)  Mainly when we got strung out and everyone
was all by themselves :)

Eldred,

There are also serious problems with alter.net these days.  Have been for
about 3 weeks since that major Worldcom screw-up a few weeks ago.  It has
not been fixed, regardless of what they say.

If one's packets go through alter.net DC or NY, and it's past 1pm, it's a
wonder you can stay connected at all.

Other alter.net area's may also be involved, but these are the two that can
affect me.

Well, after extensive testing I would say it performed admirably.
Seriously, no problems that I saw.

Pace car only messes up when there's AI stopped on the back straight, I
think.

No problems in the race I could see (with the pace car <g>).

Jeez, my league race last night (first points event ever for the league) ran a
35% race at Darlington, we only had _two_ cautions!  TWO cautions at
Darlington!  Then again, only seven cars took the green and we used Arcade
mode, but still.  ;)

Oh, and did I mention I lapped the entire field?  Hehe  Yeah, there was a lot
of blown motors...
