Gpl & Powercolor TNT2 - HELP NEEDED...

by Juha Tiikkain » Thu, 30 Sep 1999 04:00:00

I just changed my Voodoo2 card to Powercolor Sniper 2 TNT2 card - Result: Gpl is now
unplayable, framerates are really low and scenery in mirrors is blinking ( i think
that's the problem ). I installed OpenGL Beta2 drivers from Papyrus, tried new
drivers from NVidia and Powercolor and nothing helped. Gpl update 1.1.0.3 made things
even worse.

Has anybody else got similar problems with Sniper 2 or other TNT2 based cards?
Any suggestions?

Card runs other games like Colin McRae Rally or Viper Racing really well ( except
little darkness ). My machine is Celeron 400PPGA with 128 Mb ram.

Gpl & Powercolor TNT2 - HELP NEEDED...

The Voodoo2 will work with your TNT card.  I really recommend using the V2; however, if
you want the TNT card to work you must reduce the refresh rate of the mirrors to update
every 8 frames or so.  This can be done in an INI file.  An example should have been
provided with the OpenGL patch.

Jason.
