I have a voodoo Banshee card (pII-450, 192 mb) and I think it's time to
upgrade. Because I like Flanker 2.0 (=flightsim) and this sim only works
well with a TNT2 I'm seriously considering the Viper. My only hesitation is
GPL. So my question: Will it run on a TNT2? Any experiences? Also, what's
MGPRS2 on a TNT2 like?
What TNT2 should I get, there are a lot of different versions (16 mb, 32mb,
64bits, 128 bits, TV-out etc.)

Now that is just my experience with both a Diamond Viper 770 Ultra and
Hercules Dynamite TNT2 Ultra [both TNT2 Ultra's running NVidia 2.08
reference drivers], two Diamond Monster2 12meg Voodoo2s and a 3dfx Voodoo3
[running latest reference drives at the time] on my P2-400. I also found
that for me N3 ran just as well in either Glide or D3D mode.
You are correct. In fact, GPL, N3, and NL all run better on a voodoo 2 than
they do on the TNT2 Ultra. The only racing sim that I've found that runs
better on the TNT2 is MGPRS2, as you say. So if GPL runs better using a
voodoo 2 than it does with the TNT2 Ultra, then imagine the comparison with
a voodoo 3.
