it is already out in HongKong...should i get it right away?
or should i get GPL? it is out too in HongKong...
or both?
so little money...so many games....

Yes ;-)
At some extenct.. yes it's just a "newer" "updated" version. Like the EA
Sports game line, that has a better version each year.. (NHL 93/4/5/6/7/8).
It has better physics, and some bugs fixed and add-ons. No FIA License
still...
Well it depends about the lines under... ;-)
I would say from a Hard-core SimRacer point of view you should get this one.
It's not just better than MGP, but it's a fully realistic product that
really puts MonacoGP in the dust. With a true-life game engine and realistic
physics. Incredible tracks. Better and crisper (less arcadish) graphics
IMHO.
Just check out this newsgroup and you will understand. For 1 MonacoGP post
you have 20 GPL posts. Since about 90% of us are all a bunch of hard-core
crazy SimRacers, it's representative to the quality of the product. Since
1month I've seen at least 50 post of people saying "Oh my God ! It's soo
incredible and realistic yadda yadda yadda". I've never seen that for
MonacoGP.
Just the fact of having the Nurburgring (24km and 176corners) is enough for
the purchase of GPL.
Both is better than just 1 ;-) . MonacoGP is still a great racing
simulator (the second best presently after GPL). But racing GPL really
spoils all other racing simulators, since all the other feel "arcadish" and
unrealistic somehow...
Of course ;-)

Just to comment on your observations (the reason for the note), the number
of posts is far, far less for MGPRS2 simply because it has not been released
outside Europe yet. Even in Europe it was only released this month! I think
the posts will multiply rapidly as soon as it's generally released (as will
the patches, setups etc. etc.).

It's not fair to compare the number of posts for a sim that has only been
released in Canada & Europe with one that has released almost everywhere. To
be honest the availablity ratio is probably about the same if not more one
sided.

I get that (& more) in GPL with a P200 & an 8mb V2. In a race. With 15 cars.
Physics- wise, no contest. I have F1RS, and tried the demo of MGPRS. Not even
close. Glad you enjoy it.
