I'm doing pretty damn well with my AMD-266 and pure3d 6meg voodoo1. The
frame rates (noticable to eye, not measured) seemed fine in both. The reason
you need more processor in GPL because it actually deals with some driving
physics, whereas Monaco GP seems to forget this part.
It really hard to compare these two games, as GPL is a great, realistic
race sim, and Monaco GP is an abomination to the car sim genre...

How so Tim?

For my money, both are probably quite good simulations. While GPl involves
driving cars which are definetly a lot more twitchy and power sliding is the
thing, MGPRS2 is without a doubt the best modern formula one sim avaliable.

I've not driven either a 67 or a 98 car recently (or indeed ever) so i can't
comment to either authenticity, but as far as driving goes, they both do what
the set out to do very well.

The rest is down to personal preference, i guess.

That's right! And stop this childish the-sim-I-like-more-is-better-
discussions. Who wants to compare apples and pears?
