N3 Error Online. Help!

N3 Error Online. Help!

Has anyone else seen this and do they know how to fix it.  When I get
into N3 -> Multiplayer and I go to connect to the Internet Site to get
to Delta Arena or any arena I get a message that says "CD-Key entered
Incorrectly or invalid".  I have N3 and the CTS Exp installed.  The game
was working great with no problems for months.  Then this all of a
sudden happened.  I reinstalled the CTS Expansion Pack and I have
patched it also.  But it still does not seem to work.  Any body have
this before and have any insights on how to fix?  Please help.  My
league race is tonight and I need to fix this.

The only fix I ever found for this error way back when i still ran N3/CTS
was to get a new IP (I logged off and back on as I am 56k), IF you are a
broadband user, see if you can release/renew your IP lease and get a
different one.

In the old days I would say that somone has managed to "guess" your CD key
which did happen some. Unless you have a buddy out there using the same copy
of the game, these are the only suggestions I have. It could just be a
problem with Sierra/Papy and their matching servers, they sometimes don't
release logged in keys properly and you can't get back in until it does.

  For some reason your WON identity appears to have been scrambled.  You'll
probably have to re-enter your name and password, which requires the CD.
Because the problem may have occurred on your system and Not on Won,  when
you go to relog your name, it might say the name or password is already in
use...you might have to create a tottally new ID.
(make sure your league officials know about that so you can have your points
correctly attributed.)  Good luck

Actually I am a dial-up.  And I have not loaned anyone my CTS disk or N3 Disk.
But I wondered if maybe someone guessed my key was a possibility.

If it is papy/sierra site how can I get them to clear it up?  I sent them a Help
message which has not even been looked at by them for 2 days now.

Thanks Dave.  That is an idea to try a different identity.  I will give that a
try.  I might be ok tonight for the league because I can still connect via IP.
But our server is not always up and sometimes I have to connect to the race via
the Internet and I need to know how to fix this.  Thanks.
